Rock Morphis
Chairman

Rock Morphis has spent his entire career, since 1983, working in partnership with physicians to develop and operate ancillary businesses. The guiding principle of all of these businesses has been a willingness to share the risks and rewards of the investment opportunity with physician partners. Mr. Morphis co-founded Heritage Surgical Corporation in 1992, and subsequently served as its Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer from its inception. Heritage Surgical's business interests included developing, acquiring, and managing ambulatory surgery centers through the U.S. In 1994, Heritage Surgical merged with another privately held ambulatory surgery center company headquartered in Atlanta, Surgical Health Corporation. Subsequent to the merger, Surgical Health Corporation operated 37 ambulatory surgery centers in eleven states and generated over $130 million in annual revenues. Mr. Morphis initially served as Chairman, and later Chief Executive Officer of Surgical Health Corporation until June 1995, when HEALTHSOUTH Corporation acquired the company. In 1995, Mr. Morphis co-founded Heritage Health Systems, Inc. and served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. He currently serves as Managing Director of Heritage Group, LLC and as a Director for several early stage healthcare companies.
